The primary responsibility is to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers while supporting the sales process.
What type of vehicles will I be operating?
You will be operating a tractor-trailer set, including double and possibly triple trucks and/or straight trucks.
Is a commercial driver's license (CDL) required for this position?
Yes, you must possess a Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with double/triple endorsements and hazardous materials and tank endorsements.
How much driving experience do I need to qualify for this job?
You need to have one year of driving experience in the last three years or have successfully completed the FedEx Freight driver development course.
What are the working conditions like for this job?
Working conditions involve driving throughout the shift on all types of roads and in various weather conditions, with exposure to noise, vibrations, dust, diesel fumes, and possibly hazardous materials.
Are there any physical requirements for this position?
Yes, the job requires the ability to lift and carry goods weighing up to 100 pounds several times a week and the ability to sit for long periods, bend, twist, squat, and get in and out of a truck.
What is the salary for this driver position?
The starting pay rate is $28.95 per hour.
Do I need to obtain any certifications?
Yes, you must obtain hazmat certification within 120 days of accepting the offer. Without this certification, you will not be permitted to drive a vehicle.

Yes, demonstrating internal and external customer service is an essential function of the job, alongside soliciting additional business from clients.
