Requirements

  • 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries and experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting.
  • Working within the education sector / start-up projects would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • establish technical credibility in sales cycles for Amazon platforms, technologies, and the company, by collaborating with the sales team to win new business
  • capture and convey best practices and provide prescriptive guidance around application and systems design on the Amazon platforms and technologies, via direct customer and partner interaction, development of technical content, events, evangelism, training, and operational event support
  • help drive the evolution of the Amazon platforms and technologies by providing direct input and feedback from the field to the engineering teams developing these offerings
  • recruiting, hiring, and developing top SA talent; managing and applying that resource in a prudent and efficient way; and driving cross-organizational initiatives related to the areas identified above
