Responsibilities

  • - Performs preventive maintenance tasks such as inspecting, replacing components on schedule
  • - Testing and adjusting a variety of primarily electrical/control equipment and systems
  • - Responding to breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing, adjusting and calibrating a variety of primarily electrical/control and systems
  • - Overhauling, cleaning and/or replacement of defective parts
  • - Carries out calibrations as per the site procedures
  • - Providing engineering support to production
  • - Operation, monitoring and maintaining various utility systems and building management systems
  • - Developing and/or delivering training to craftspersons and apprentices
  • - Participating in multi-functional and inter-site teams as required
  • - In the role of craftsperson, there are a variety of other, ad hoc responsibilities that may be assigned
  • - Understanding that all tasks require a work order and depending on the complexity of task, a permit may also be required
  • - Completion of work is documented under work order notifications with appropriate detail once the work is complete
  • - Understanding that if during maintenance something outside of standard should be reported for further investigation
