  • - To accurately in-put, up-date and monitor patient related information onto the computerised Patient Administration System and the Emergency Departments MSS System
  • - To provide a front line staff 24 hour patient focused reception service, ensuring that the service is efficient and welcoming, including directing patients/staff/relatives to other departments and dealing with aggressive/abusive patients in a calm and professional manner
  • - To deal with patient/relative enquires either face to face or by telephone in a professional manner
  • - To liaise with other departments regarding patient admission/attendance and arrange assistance as required, e.g. arranging for porters to collect patients with wheelchairs or PALS
  • - To arrange transport for patients as required
