Requirements

  • Working knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD
  • Ability to produce accurate, neat and effective drawings
  • Familiarity with CAD standards
  • Ideally, You’ll Have:
  • Technical degree in computer-aided design (CAD)
  • Experience as a highway CAD technician
  • Experience with Geopack, Inroads. OpenRoads, OpenBridge, Civil 3D
  • Experience working with working in a team environment with good communications skills
  • Experience with using MS Office tools (Word and Excel), MS Teams and Bluebeam

Responsibilities

  • At Jacobs, you’ll be a vital member of our Ohio Highways team and will have the opportunity to support engineers on structural and highway design plans for transportation projects.  
  • As a Entry Level Highway CAD Technician, you’ll work collaboratively on multi-discipline projects with other technicians and engineers in the roadway and structural groups. You’ll apply your CAD software skills and knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices and techniques to develop structural design plans. Construction phase work assignments may include preparing sketches and reviewing shop drawings. You will be responsible for meeting deadlines and ensuring the plans adhere to all internal and client specific quality standards.
