Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and/or Structural Engineering
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills
  • Ideally, You’ll Also Have: 
  • EIT certificate
  • One previous summer internship experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation in transportation, water, and/or land development projects
  • Previous bridge design and/or construction experience and basic knowledge of LRFD Bridge design code

  • As a vital member of our Philadelphia team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on transportation projects that focus on bridge and other transportation structure design. Working alongside a team of technicians and engineers, you’ll be responsible for creating computer models, performing calculations of section properties and weight take-offs, preparation of calculations, etc.
  • Our Structural (Bridge) EIT performs evaluations of structures of various degrees of complexity, prepares plans, designs, calculations and cost estimates under the supervision of experienced engineers, researches code issues and works with City, State, and County officials and researches design options and documents findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.
