Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in in civil, environmental, or related engineering discipline
  • This is a hybrid position; candidates must be able to accommodate a mix of working from home and the Portland Office.
  • Self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis skills, technical problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ideally, you’ll also have:
  • A GPA of at least 3.0
  • Master’s degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering discipline
  • Completed internship in a water- or wastewater-related field
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
  • Proficient skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Wastewater process modeling experience (e.g. BioWin, Sumo)
  • Hydraulic modeling skills (e.g. Fathom, AutoPIPE)
  • Wet chemistry laboratory skills
  • Construction and facility operations experience

Responsibilities

  • As an entry-level Water/Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer in Portland, Oregon, you will support a core group of engineers and designers on studies, designs, and field assignments for clients across the pacific northwest region. Working with other members of our team, you’ll evaluate and select the best treatment approach to solve a client’s challenges and plan and design treatment systems and plant improvements. Treatment and resource recovery assignments will be wastewater-focused but could also include work on potable water supply systems. Tasks would include technical studies, computer modeling, technical report writing, engineering design and construction services support.
