Requirements

  • A-Level Leaver or bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject, preferred but not essential (e.g., Risk Management, Business, Sustainability).
  • Good understanding of ESG principles or have an enthusiasm on ESG topics such as climate-related risks and social impact considerations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.  
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate ESG data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • ESG Integration in Insurance Procurement:
  • Evaluate supplier partners based on ESG criteria, considering factors such as QBE policy, climate risk, social impact, legislation, and governance practices.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
  • Implement strategies to enhance the resilience of the organization against environmental, social, and governance challenges.
  • Work with stakeholders and supplier partners to encourage and assist in the development of sustainable practices which are in line with QBE’s strategic ESG goals.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data related to insurance procurement activities, focusing on ESG metrics.
  • Policy Development and Compliance:
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of ESG procurement policies within the supply chain.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Facilitate discussions and initiatives that enhance sustainable and socially responsible practices within the insurance supply chain.
