  • Proven track-record in planning and executing corporate investigations for a multi-national company. Experience in the pharmaceuticals or medical devices industry including experience within a manufacturing, supply chain or quality environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of US and European pharmaceutical laws (including fraud and abuse, anti-kickback and FCPA / UK Bribery matters), regulations, and industry codes relevant to the healthcare industry in the region and the applicable extraterritorial regulations (e.g. FCPA, Antikickback Statute, SOX) is required
  • Experience in helping with the development of corrective actions of risk areas/gaps identified during investigations
  • Experience in managing virtual teams of external investigators in fieldwork and forensics
  • Compliance, Legal, audit or risk management background is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The primary responsibility of the GMSGQ Investigator is to assess allegations of misconduct, assign, conduct and document investigations of alleged violations of laws and regulations, Takeda’s Global Code of Conduct, policies or SOPs, across the Global Manufacturing & Supply and Global Quality (GMSGQ) Operational Units including the manufacturing sites in the network and supporting above site functions, outside of the Americas and Japan.
  • You will:
  • Plan and run global and/or local impact investigations for a multi-national, Japan / US listed pharmaceutical company
  • Assess and manage the concerns reported and determine if an investigation is warranted
  • Develop and execute an investigation plan and supervise the work of internal/external resources involved in an investigation
  • Support the GMSGQ Ethics & Compliance Team in their roles as the first point of contact for the relevant Business Functions and sites in the GMSGQ network on matters of concerns raised and investigated
  • Where relevant, oversee or perform the execution of site investigations to ensure they are performed according to internationally recognized standards and Takeda’s policies
  • Partner with Human Resources, People Advisory Group, Global Ethics & Compliance and Legal departments on matters of investigations and holistic reporting
  • Prepare a report and debrief the conclusions of the investigations in a balanced and clear manner to those leaders and forums required according to the E&C Governance and investigation policy
  • Support the Values driven culture and E&C program when interacting with different stakeholders in the course of your activities, in particular to raise awareness and understanding regarding Speak Up and listen to learn
  • Work in collaboration with the relevant Business Units/Business Functions/Site Heads and E&C Advisors and other relevant functions to proactively identify potential risk areas (internal/external) and support the development of anonymized case studies and best practices to raise the awareness of key ethics and compliance risks and mitigate them
  • In coordination with the GMSGQ E&C Head of Strategy, Governance, & Operations Excellence, Global Ethics & Compliance Investigations team and GMSGQ Americas investigator, provide regular reporting on the overall investigations to senior GMS and GQ leaderships, E&C leadership team (GMSGQ and GEC whenever relevant) and key internal stakeholders
  • Contribute with our GMSGQ Americas investigator to prepare GMSGQ Risks Ethics & Compliance Committee presentations relating to investigations trends, CAPA, case studies and learnings on a regular basis.
