Primary carers are eligible for 20 weeks’ leave at full pay. There is no minimum tenure requirement meaning all employees are eligible for parental leave upon starting work at Macquarie. To help parents transition to life as a working parent, we also offer 12 paid transition days upon your return. That means new parents can return to work four days and get paid for five days per week for 12 weeks; or return three days and get paid for five days per week for six weeks. Co-parents can access up to six weeks paid leave at the time of birth, adoption or custody. Other support services are also available including parents' rooms and access to a range of resources.
