Responsibilities

  • You must be able to work to deadlines, have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a busy team.
  • As Executive Assistant, the post holder will be expected to develop administrative policies using systematic processes and “lean” methodologies to improve service efficiency within the Office of the Director of Public Health.
  • The post holder will also be expected to implement policies and propose changes to practice across the executive secretarial function.
  • The post holder will be expected to work flexibly as part of the wider Public Health Team responsible to the Business Manager and will be given the autonomy to prioritise work to ensure that the Director of Public Health is fully briefed, prepared, and supported, in all aspects of the designated Executive Director functions.
  • The post holder will be expected to seek advice when necessary but will be responsible for managing own area of work.
  • This post is fixed term/secondment for 6 months to meet the needs of the service.
