Requirements

Degree level essential and a desire to undertake accounting qualifications, if not already started
Experience of working within the retail / licensing sector beneficial (experience of an equivalent commercial and FP&A role).
Skills Required:
Demonstrable track record of providing commercial support and analysis to business partners that’s insightful, timely and responsive and delivers key messaging at the appropriate level of detail
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Numerate and analytical with a desire to think through and resolve problems.
Results focussed and outcome driven

Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
Support the Finance Manager in the smooth running of key FP&A cycles and ad hoc requests (Forecast, Accrual, AOP, 5YP) for Global/ Regional & Local Toys/Food+ partners.
Assist in the preparation of Forecast/AOP and Accrual presentations to support Senior Management and Commercial leads.
Ensure licensee forecasts are received, checked for accuracy and reviewed with the relevant Category teams. Drive forecast loads and system validations.
Partner with the Finance Manager and the rest of the team to improve efficiency in processes and share best practice.
Commercial Support:
Support Toys/Food+ regional teams on overarching and category specific strategies to grow key accounts and streamline tail.
Provide support to the wider commercial teams with business plan finalisation, contract renewals, other revenue opportunities (e.g shortfall situations and audit issues).
Assist the regional teams with timely and relevant reporting on the performance of the business / franchise and licensees.
Share insights on Toys market & competitor performance to identify scalable opportunities and influence strategic decisions.
Support on project work and lead on ad hoc requests where required.
Team Management:
Champion one team mentality and provide support to the rest of the Toys/Food+ Regional Finance team on ad hoc basis to effectively manage workload demands.
Ensure collaborative approach with other teams including FP&A, FMCG/Softlines, RA and CMC.
