Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the local accounting department.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget, working closely with department heads to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Monitor monthly departmental budget requests in line with the annual budget and business approval from internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance against the budget, providing insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Prepare relevant and appropriate treasury reports and ensure proper treasury management across company FIAT and Crypto assets.
  • Maintain and enhance banking relationships with local and international banks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Setup and optimise accounting systems to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Demonstrate strong experience in reconciliation in trading environment against internal trading system and external data and/or system.
  • Demonstrate good knowledge in crypto asset and cold wallet reconciliation.
  • Demonstrate good understanding and experience in accounting principles regarding income recognition in relation to client account top-up, FX/Crypto conversion, cross-border payment and withdrawal etc.
  • Ensure efficient processes in bad debt management and appropriate accounting record.
  • Enforce strong risk and operational controls at all times and secure satisfactory audit results.
  • Ensure all Operations activities are carried out in compliance with authorised processes and procedures and all processes to be documented.
