What is the duration of the commitment required for the Site Director position?
The Site Director position requires a 10-week commitment from June 9, 2025, to August 15, 2025, working Monday to Friday for approximately eight hours per day.
What are the camp locations for the Giants Baseball Camps?
The camp locations include Millbrae (Taylor Middle School), Redwood City (Red Morton Park), Los Gatos/Saratoga (Easterbrook Discovery School), Napa (Justin-Siena High School), Los Altos Hills (Purissima Park), Burlingame (Bayside Park), San Jose (Herman Intermediate School), Foster City (Sea Cloud Park), and San Francisco (Crocker Amazon).
What qualifications are required for the Site Director position?
Candidates must have experience working with children ages 4-13, experience coaching and/or playing baseball/softball at a high school level or higher, at least one year of experience managing a group of people in a formal setting, and a familiarity with the basic fundamentals of baseball. Additionally, candidates must be able to pass a comprehensive background screening.
Will I be responsible for transportation for the camps?
Yes, Site Directors are required to have reliable transportation to travel to each camp site. They may also be responsible for driving a rented cargo van, which will be covered for work-related uses only.
What is the pay range for the Site Director position?
The weekly pay for the Site Director position ranges from $1,320 to $1,500, based on skill level and experience.
What is the interview process for this position?
The interview process includes completing a one-way interview, followed by a 15-minute virtual interview with the MLB Camps Director and a 20-minute virtual interview with the Executive Director, leading to a final decision.
Is previous coaching experience required?
Yes, candidates should have experience coaching and/or playing baseball/softball at a high school level or higher, along with experience managing a group of people.
