Responsibilities

  • The first year will include rotational assignments through several areas in GWI. This may include:
  • Technical Infrastructure (R&D Labs)
  • Workplace (Offices)
  • Real Estate
  • Design
  • Construction
  • Operations

  • Health and Safety
  • Learning goals during this time will include:
  • Learn how we establish and operate R&D labs, factories, and workplaces for 40k employees at hundreds of sites in multiple countries.
  • Gain experience on the skillsets required to operate in one of the leading-edge R&D fabrication facilities in the industry, equipped with many of the toolsets required to process the leading technology for the industry.
  • Work amongst the technologists and subject matter experts in the semiconductor field to enable the tooling and infrastructure requirements to meet the next generation technology requirements.
  • Support global facility expansion that will enable ~50% growth to more than 50k employees over the next five years.
  • Learn the digital tools that are currently in use at Applied to assist in planning, design and layout for various infrastructure types.
  • Exposure to the operational processes required to coordinate the complex activities required to ensure successful completion of projects related to the installation, modification and/or infrastructure facilitation requirements.
  • Understand how to optimize design and footprint of facilities and services to align with enduring hybrid working patterns.
  • Learning how Applied collects business unit space infrastructure needs and requirements and initiates searches for and eventually acquires suitable land/facilities to support business needs.
