  • The Candidate:
  • The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a tester role and have a strong working background in system testing. The candidate will demonstrate experience in testing approaches and processes and have innovative ideas for measuring and improving test quality, including defect management.
  • The candidate will have excellent communications skills and a rigorous, structured and disciplined approach, with proven experience with either Atlassian Jira Software, HP Quality Centre / Micro Focus or Service Now. The candidate will be able to work to a challenging timescales and deliver to planned schedules. The ideal candidate will have an IT / computing degree and ISTQB/ISEB Certification in Testing.

Responsibilities

  • NSS, on behalf of the Health Boards and Primary Care General Practice, has recently procured next-generation GP IT systems, to be delivered as a centrally hosted managed service, which will be rolled out to all GP Practices across Scotland. In order to achieve this successfully, NSS are seeking to recruit a Test Analyst to assist in the planning and co-ordinate the testing of these new IT Services to ensure that they are clinically safe and fully meet the NHSScotland specification.
  • Working collaboratively with the GP IT system supplier, Clinicians, GP IT facilitators and other Subject Matter Experts under the direction of the GP IT Test Manager, will develop and implement a test strategy to ensure the new GP IT Services are fit for purpose. This activity will be supported by a GP IT Implementation Project Team within NSS.
