Accounting & TaxPeterborough

  • We’re looking for graduates wanting to start their career in accounts as a trainee accountant, studying towards the ACA or ACCA qualification.

About the office:

  • Our Peterborough team has clients reaching across the whole region and internationally. The office provides accounts preparation, tax services and advice to a range of clients, including commercial/owner managed businesses, landed estates, private wealth and the not-for-profit/charities sector, and advises its clients on all aspects of the business and personal wealth lifecycle.
  • Qualifying is not just about passing your exams; gaining valuable work experience is so important.
  • You'll work in a friendly and progressive environment in a client facing, fast paced role which includes advisory elements and often deals with high profile clients.
  • The work is varied and ranges from typical year end compliance through to ad-hoc advisory and project work. The client base is a mix of sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, limited liability partnerships, trusts and smaller private charities.

  • 2:1 (expected or obtained) in any discipline,
  • A minimum of 120 UCAS points in your A Levels (or equivalent), and
  • A minimum of 6 (or B) in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent).
  • About the Qualification:
  • We offer a three-year ACA or ACCA training contract, with a view to becoming a qualified accountant. This will be completed under a Level 7 apprenticeship.
  • Studying as an apprentice won’t impact the time it takes you to complete the qualification, it just means that there is a defined study pathway in place to ensure you have the best chance of success. Not only will you gain technical knowledge through the course of the apprenticeship, but you will be introduced to key skills and behaviours required to help you develop in your role.
