Requirements

  • As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace / Aeronautical Systems engineering, other engineering subjects, Mechanical /Electrical Systems; Maths or Physics.

Responsibilities

  • Aerodynamics Engineering, Design Engineering, Materials Engineering and Structural Engineering to give a breadth of experience.
  • Aerodynamic Engineers are responsible for the delivery of aerodynamic engineering solutions that meet customer requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to gain skills, knowledge and experience in areas such as Aerodynamic Modelling, Dynamic Analysis, Flutter Analysis, Flight Mechanics and Flight Dynamics, Flight Control Law Design and Development, Stores Release and Jettison, Air Vehicle Performance Estimation, and Propulsion Integration.
  • Design Engineers are responsible for producing the physical product definition against a set of system requirements from multiple sources. Graduate Design Engineers will have the opportunity to gain skills, knowledge and experience in areas such as structural, mechanical, electrical and fluid systems to create solutions to satisfy conceptual, preliminary definition, detail design, verification/compliance, build/assembly and in-service support lifecycle phases.
  • Materials Engineers are responsible for defining Materials that are capable of delivering the performance required to meet the product and business requirements. Graduate Design Engineers will have the opportunity to gain skills, knowledge and experience in areas such as Materials Development and Selection, Characterisation, Engineering Processes, Qualification, build/assembly and in-service support lifecycle phases.
  • Structural Engineers are responsible for ensuring the airframe is able to carry the loads placed upon it. This is done via structural examination and testing at various stages of the aircraft lifecycle, including in-service when the aircraft fatigue life is monitored against cleared limits. Graduate Structural Engineers will have the opportunity to gain skills, knowledge and experience in areas such as Finite Element Modelling, Fatigue and Fracture research, Build and In-service Support, Mass Prediction and Control, Aerodynamic and Structural Testing, Dynamics and Qualification and Certification.
