  • We are seeking a recent Graduate CEI Engineer for highway and bridge inspection projects. This position will be in our Raleigh, NC office.

Requirements

  • We invite applications from candidates with the following qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Construction is required.
  • Have the ability to obtain the below qualifications in a reasonable amount of time.
  • NCDOT Concrete Field Technician
  • ACI Concrete Field Level I
  • NCDOT Erosion and Sediment Control Level I
  • NCDOT QMS Roadway
  • NCDOT Conventional Density
  • NCDOT ABC and Borrow Pit Sampling certification
  • NCDOT Intermediate Work Zone Safety (or Equivalent)
  • OSHA 10-hour Construction Program
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • This position may require the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Duties will include but may not be limited to:
  • Traveling to various project sites to conduct inspection and testing duties
  • Following standard procedures and specifications for documentation and inspection of construction activities
  • Reading, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with construction plans, specifications, and contracts
  • Daily calculating, reporting, documenting, and communicating verbally and in writing
  • Computing quantities for items such as concrete, asphalt, steel, earthwork, drainage structures, and traffic control devices
  • Operating company vehicle, computer, and testing equipment
  • Reporting construction progress and issues with engineers, contractors, utilities, and government officials to Senior Field and Administrative personnel
  • Documenting field changes and as-built plans
  • Documenting daily diaries and material test reports
  • Working in an office or outdoor environment in varying weather conditions as required by the project type
