Responsibilities

  • Our Jacobs’ Water Business comprises over 450 people throughout the UK and Ireland, supplemented by over 5,000 water colleagues around the world. Our clients include water companies, regulators, industry research bodies and the wider industry. Our aim is to bring fresh, sustainable drinking water to everyone.  
  • The Water Industry is facing its greatest challenges since privatisation to deliver enhanced customer and environmental outcomes and wider socio-economic benefits. 
  • As leaders in the sector, we work with clients & partners to help shape the future of asset management, investment planning & delivery. We provide end-to-end technical and asset planning support to help deliver best customer, societal and environmental benefit while managing risk & affordability.  We deliver projects across the entire water cycle balancing social, economic and environmental priorities.   
  • As a Graduate Electrical Engineer based in Glasgow, Birmingham or London, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering projects for clients such as the Environment Agency, water companies and major infrastructure providers. Your workload will be varied, you may be helping a water company identify strategic upgrade requirements, designing the electrical requirements for a pumping station or using specialist software to model the electrical distribution for a wastewater treatment works and much more. The role will provide you with exposure to wide range of projects and we will support you to grow and develop into the areas that you find interesting. Whatever you decide to do our friendly teams will help you along the way.
