Requirements

  • Graduate or are on track to graduate with a 2:2 degree or above in an engineering (chemical, electrical or mechanical), science, health and safety or a similar subject area, with a specific interest in EHS and Process Safety.
  • Digitally minded, have a passion to digitise data and information and learn to turn data and information into digital dashboards.
  • Are flexible, know how to connect with others and pride yourself on bringing positive, and bring forward-thinking ideas to the team.
  • Feel comfortable working and reporting at all levels of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative as well as operate effectively as part of a team.
  • Enjoy jumping in and, with support from us, feel confident taking responsibility for tasks and projects you’ve been assigned.
  • Have an eye for detail and look to develop the skills to be a successful EHS professional.
  • Driven, passionate and tenacious, your strong sense of personal accountability is bolstered by your eye for the bigger picture.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to inspire trust and build engagement are also essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with Strong PC literacy (especially in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
  • It would be good to have some understanding of the principles of Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety and Process Safety, but it’s not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on experience in an exciting and challenging global organisation.
  • Learn/improve your EHS and critical thinking skills in a variety of teams in the Siemens Energy Gas Service business.
  • Collaborate with a variety of key non-EHS business functions to understand what it takes to keep an engineering company running.
  • Build your skills through training modules, with both classroom and practical sessions.
  • Be a valued member within a team of Entry Level Talent (Apprentices/Interns/Graduates) to participate in the business improvement projects. The scope of these projects will provide you with valuable team working and presentation skills.
  • Support our Societal Engagement team, where you can push the business further and change its course, as well as represent us externally as a STEM Ambassador.
  • Seek out opportunities that will strengthen your skills and enhance your knowledge to continue to support the business and your career development path.
