Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Design Director and the apparel Designers/Merchandisers each season to support the development of key conceptual elements for garments, footwear and accessories.
  • Provide research and graphic designs that meet seasonal Colors and Concepts standards to execute the vision of the brand including plaids, prints, all-over prints, and other key details.
  • Research and create garment fabric plaids, patterns, prints and custom graphics in alignment with American Tall’s brand voice.
  • Create and maintain trims, labels and packaging standards for use across multiple product categories.
  • Interpret the seasonal direction into appropriate design elements for apparel, accessories, and footwear, while always maintaining key brand values.
  • Support the evaluation of quality and execution for samples/strike-offs to ensure technical standards are met.
  • In collaboration with relevant partners, present new ideas/trends relating to the Graphic Designer, Apparel’s responsibilities which are appropriate for American Tall.
  • Work cross-functionally with Design Team and Product Development Team to ensure projects are completed in timely manner and adhere to American Tall’s Seasonal Merchandising Calendar.
  • Support the construction of quarterly Merchandising + Digital/Marketing presentation decks for use by relevant teams.
  • Regularly conduct thorough competitor research to evaluate the competitor landscape and to further our creative inspiration inputs.
