  • Experienced in developing finance operating models, processes, and controls, and able to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
  • Expert knowledge of finance change management and data, with experience of large-scale finance transformation within global Financial Services.
  • Expert in enhancing control frameworks and SoX (or equivalent) compliance.
  • Broad working knowledge of London market insurance practices
  • Skilled in matrix management, stakeholder engagement, and fostering a high-performing team culture.
  • Strong people management skills with experience in finance control environments and data management.
  • Skilled in data literacy and proven experience in interpreting data to communicate key messages to the wider audience.
  • Senior stakeholder management and relationship-building expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the CFO, FLT, and the Director of Transformation & Technology to drive the development and execution of the Finance, Actuarial & Legal (FAL) data & change strategy and roadmap.
  • Ensure change is smoothly integrated into FAL from both internal and external sources.
  • Design and deliver an enhanced control framework, including independent controls testing.
  • Promote a control culture and support the Risk Maturity Self-Assessment (RMSA) and Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) processes.
  • Champion data quality across FAL and strive for a “zero tolerance” to data quality issues.
  • Balance BAU delivery with change initiatives by prioritising effectively and making informed decisions.
  • Represent FAL’s interests at key business governance meetings, ensuring risks and issues are appropriately addressed.
  • Maintain a holistic overview of change resourcing and risks across FAL.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across FAL, EO Business, and Group Finance to ensure early engagement and clear communication of change initiatives.
  • Promote a high-performing risk culture and reward innovation.
  • Manage performance by actively coaching, providing regular feedback, and being clear on decision-making, deadlines, and accountabilities.
