What is the primary responsibility of the Head of Safeguarding?
The primary responsibility is to ensure that the safeguarding agenda is delivered consistently across the Trust and to provide assurance that services are being provided safely and effectively, in line with national, regional, and local guidance and legislative requirements.
Who will the post holder work with in this role?
The post holder will work collaboratively with partner agencies, Named Leads for Safeguarding Adults & Children, Midwifery, and Looked After Children, along with the wider Trust integrated safeguarding group.
What kind of supervision will the Head of Safeguarding provide?
The Head of Safeguarding will provide safeguarding supervision and support staff in adult concerns, as well as delivering and participating in Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Mental Health Act (MHA) practice, training, and principles.
