Responsibilities

  • Managing youth mental health programming efforts, including the Youth Mental Health First Aid initiative and contracts.
  • Training and delivery of Youth Mental Health First Aid.
  • Coordination, co-facilitation of and participation in the Youth Mental Health Steering Committee and execution of projects.
  • Development of mental health peer-to-peer education; and identifying opportunities to leverage other adolescent health programming to integrate mental health.
  • Participate in the writing, coordination, and review of the Title V MCH Block Grant report and application narratives for the women’s and adolescent health domains, including collection and reporting of data.
  • Assisting the Maternal Health Innovation Program with completion of tasks, as needed.
  • Maintaining OWH websites up-to-date and coordinating development of new sites, as needed.
  • Developing, updating, and implementing youth mental health program policy and procedures, quality improvement and tracking tools.
  • Conducting site visits statewide to manage youth mental health activities and providing technical assistance, as needed.
  • Coordinating efforts to develop, foster, and maintain relationships internally and externally with community partners in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.
  • Representing the program and ADHS at various internal and external meetings.
  • Provides day-to-day technical assistance to contracted programs.
  • Ensures proper implementation of programming including conducting status meetings and annual site visits.
  • Writes grant applications and reports; writes requests for proposals and evaluates applications.
  • Reviews and approves contractor monthly invoices and coordinates paperwork for the development of purchase orders.
  • Coordinate and/or participate in committee meetings and project execution.
  • Plan and coordinate professional development trainings and conferences, contractor meetings, and others; deliver oral presentations; coordinate and create effective, visually engaging presentations within ADHS Brand Standards in Google Slide presentations.
  • Assist with the coordination and review of the Title V MCH Block Grant report and application narratives for the women’s and adolescent health domains, including collection and reporting of data.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development conferences; confer with supervisor.
  • Coordinates and delivers Youth Mental Health First Aid or assists contractors when delivering, as needed and time allows.
