Responsibilities

  • Own the coordination, scheduling, and document drafting/preparation of all pre-hire requirements, for example, pre-employment screenings, benefits onboarding, etc.
  • Create and manage onboarding and orientation scheduling in collaboration with HR Managers and hiring managers, supporting the development of individualized orientation and onboarding schedules for all new hires
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates in the pre-hire phase to continue candidate engagement and finalizing orientation schedules with new hires
  • Follow-up with hiring managers and IT to ensure new hires have the necessary hardware and software upon starting (varies by role)
  • Utilize Uponor Workday HRIS to integrate new hires in the system
  • Conduct weekly new hire orientations, ensuring new employees are onboarded effectively and understand company policies, culture, and expectations.
  • Ensure new hire paperwork is completed, including DocuSign forms, I-9 form verification, etc. within the required timeframes
  • Work with various departments to ensure that new hires have the necessary tools, access, and resources from day one.
  • Assist in promoting community events and employee participation through internal communication channels
  • Provide support and training for employees participating in company-sponsored community events.
  • Organize and promote volunteer opportunities for employees to get involved in community projects
  • All of the above may require involvement or attendance at events that take place on evenings/weekends
  • Manage and maintain employee files and records, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with legal and organizational standards.
  • Organize and secure confidential employee information, maintaining privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Work with HR Managers and hiring managers to ensure new hires have onboarding/training plans ready on Day one
  • Engage new hires by supporting training facilitation as the needs arise
  • Collaborate with LMS Administrator to establish core onboarding curriculum and utilize Workday efficiencies within the onboarding process
  • Develop, administer, and communicate new employee feedback surveys
  • Regularly assess and refine onboarding and event processes, seeking innovative ways to enhance efficiency, the new hire experience, improve retention, identify process improvements and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices and solicit feedback from participants to drive ongoing improvements
  • Collaborate with the HR team to stay up to date on changes to processes, laws and policies that impact the onboarding tasks.
  • Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives and additional duties as required.
