Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role, or graduate from an HR Master’s program. ER experience preferred
  • You have the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, work independently, multi-task, and follow up on issues.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills to interface with multiple levels of the organization.
  • You are very detail oriented. Proactive about recognizing issues and finding viable solutions with little direction.

  • Experience with nonexempt populations, especially within Nevada and California.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent front line support to Zoox employees within Fleet Operations at the Vegas location. This means connecting with our crew and referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff and being responsible for providing guidance to new and existing crew on our company policies and procedures.
  • Be a first line of support/triage for Team Leads and Supervisors for people management topics.
  • Work closely with the People Partner to communicate updates and development areas for Fleet Operations.
  • Understand the contractor support model and support Full Time Employee managing contractors within Fleet Operations.
  • Communication and weekly meetings with Contractor Agencies. Partnership on themes and issues with the support of the People Partner.
  • Redirect Contractor questions to the corresponding Agency or correct Zoox department.
  • Keep a pulse on feedback, sentiment, and engagement on the ground with action planning/response for Fleet Ops at the site level.
  • Understand deeply local Vegas laws, meal and rest break guidelines and shift premiums. Understanding California state laws is a bonus.
  • Conduct Office Hours to support FTEs.
  • Collect relevant HR Metrics/Data, and do first assessment/analytics for high level trends.
  • Identify problems or areas of inefficiency and recommend suggestions for improvement where appropriate.
  • Document internal and external process flows related to Fleet Ops.
  • Assist with administration of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with stated corporate objectives and federal/state legal requirements.
