Responsibilities

  • You will act as the on-site subject matter expert for human resources matters and provide a broad range of HR programs to ensure an overall positive impact on our employees.
  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and carry out the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provides counselling, support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Maintains compliance with Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct as well as federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Champions the safety committee and oversees safety initiatives including auditing, reporting, accident investigations, determining root cause, safety training and its record keeping.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants for exempt, professional and manufacturing roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Identifies trends in local market compensation; researches and proposes to management competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Maintains compliance and record keeping requirements for federal contractor requirements.
  • Champion HR programs and initiatives to promote a positive employee experience.
  • Conducts case management of work-related illnesses and injuries.
  • Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport and create an environment that promotes well-being and positive morale.
  • Maintenance of employee records both file and in HRIS and other platforms.
  • Frequent presence on the manufacturing floor.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required.
  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.
