Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and executing risk programs to identify, measure, monitor, manage and report key operational, compliance and other risk types within Human Resources
  • Ensure HR Talent Management programs, policies and processes meet the first line of defense expectations of the OCC’s Heightened Standards for large financial institutions
  • Conduct regular audits and business line risk self-assessments to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • Partners with other HR functional areas to develop test plans and ensures control testing is completed in a timely manner
  • Engages in the development of root cause analysis and action plans for issues identified through exams and testing
  • Monitors complex risk and control environment and identifies solutions to improve control effectiveness
  • Escalate and report risks, program gaps and colleague-impacting issues to leadership
  • Monitors the remediation efforts to ensure effective and timely closure
  • Responsible for the coordination of timely execution of essential HR Business Risk operational processes including, but not limited to, business continuity planning, exam management, corporate risk management programs and records retention
  • Participates in strategic risk programs (e.g., HR Risk Roundtable) that assesses current and emerging risks associated with legal, regulatory and other risk related exposure
  • Develops complex risk monitoring and reporting to the business process owners, where applicable
