  • To support the provision of a high quality service to all clients / patients, visitors and staff within the Breast Imaging Department.
  • The department serves a large population within Walsall, Sandwell and most of the Birmingham geographical area who are eligible for the National Breast Screening Programme.
  • Patients are screened in the community on mobile units and the images relayed back to base for checking, audit and reporting by appropriately trained persons.
  • The department also serves the symptomatic clinics for the Breast surgical team.
