Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree or Technical College Degree, preferably in telecommunication, science, engineering or business field, or proven work experience.
  • Minimum 4 Years Implementation Management or Network Rollout Management Experience in Radio Networks involving New Site Builds, Modernizations, Swaps and Expansions
  • Proven Experience and Knowledge in Planning, Forecasting and Scheduling
  • Proven Experience and Knowledge in Managing Subcontractors and Managing Complexities in Large Projects
  • Proven Experience and Knowledge in Communication Management and Stakeholder Management and Governance
  • Proven Experience and Knowledge in driving Deliverables in line with Network Roll Out Process from Establishment to Conclusion Phase
  • Proven Experience and Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, Problem Solving, driving corrective actions and Efficiencies.
  • Good Knowledge of Ericsson Radio Network Products, Services and Solutions
  • Good financial understanding and the ability to manage cost efficient solutions.
  • Good Knowledge of Use Microsoft Office Tools
  • This role will be based out of Bloemfontein / Port Elizabeth / Johannesburg / Durban / Capetown – South Africa based on project need.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Implementation Workflow and Implementation Deliverables for either specific Deliverable for multiple streams or for all deliverables for One Project Stream
  • Supports the Lead Implementation Manager Functionally in any capacity related to the Specific Implementation Deliverable or Project Stream
  • Takes up responsibility for the allocated deliverable and assumes End-to-End Accountability to drive and execute task related with speed, quality and within committed timelines and cost
  • Act as and take up all responsibilities of Lead Implementation Manager for the allocated deliverable fulfilling all its expectations accordingly
  • Manage site roll-out across project with a focus on certain area’s/clusters.
  • Manage sub-contractors working for Ericsson in Network Roll-Out ensuring sub-contractor is on the track with agreed rollout plan. This includes leading Site Survey and Rollout, new equipment logistics, site access.
  • Ensure that the network implementation work is in accordance with Ericsson procedures, local laws, regulation and with respect to customer’s directives.
  • Development of Implementation project budget.
  • Monitoring and Control of implementation spend in alignment with budget.
  • Establishment and familiarization of their assigned program cluster & site list in Site Handler.
  • Complete awareness of the latest current reported status from the Approved Service Providers (ASPs) in the field.
  • Governance of the Ericsson sub-contracted ASP re: their strict compliance and adherence to their contracted scope of work.
  • Co-ordination with a group of specialist resources providing functions and services: H&S, QASIS and Logistics, to deliver an assigned portfolio of sites within the portfolio of clusters assigned.
  • Assign priorities to the ASP and Integration team to focus and drive delivery each and every day.
  • Monitoring, driving and realisation of daily, weekly and monthly delivery run rates and requirements to the customer business as per the Ericsson contracted commitments.
  • Report on plans and progress in regards to the implementation.
  • Identification, mitigation, reporting along with the management and control of risks to the program plans.
  • Act to resolve unforeseen technical, quality and performance issues.
  • Responsible to manage exceptions, slippage and issues of priority, at project level, escalating where required and initiating proactive and mitigating actions to address same wherever appropriate.
  • Responsible to provide leadership, command and control and direction to team.
  • Trigger purchase orders and invoice follow-up for implementation work.
  • Assure the quality of implementation and act on performance issues.
  • Identify add on sales opportunities related to implementation in ongoing projects.
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality of data in ERISITE is accurate and up to date.
  • Assure that Ericsson preferred processes, methods and tools are implemented and followed.
