Responsibilities

  • People Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of global instructional designers, fostering a culture of trust, excellence, and psychological safety, including performance and development conversations, coaching, recognition, and always tailoring your leadership approach based on individual growth & project needs.
  • Instructional Design Oversight: Guide the creation and quality assurance of digital learning solutions (web-based trainings, adaptive learning modules, etc.), ensuring consistency with Citi’s learning design standards, accessibility practices, and other governance, including some hands-on development as needed, while championing the purposeful use of our standard authoring tools Area9 Rhapsode, dominKnow, and generative AI tools to increase efficiency and impact.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee intake, scoping, and resource planning across a high volume of enterprise design requests using a tiered service model, while monitoring team KPIs (including turnaround times, efficiency metrics, etc.), while proactively addressing risk, bottlenecks, and audit readiness gaps.
  • Strategic Partnership & Collaboration: Serve as a primary instructional design point of contact for Learning Advisors serving designated functional areas, as well as a primary contact for Digital Learning Governance on initiatives that centralize and standardize Citi’s instructional design services.
