What qualifications are required for this intern clinical pharmacist role?
You should have an MPharm degree (or equivalent) plus at least 1 year of pre-registration training and ideally 2 years’ experience as a registered pharmacist, preferably with some experience in a general practice environment.
Is prior experience in general practice necessary for this position?
Prior experience of working in General Practice or a similar clinical role would be useful but is not essential.
What type of training and support is provided to the intern?
An initial induction program will be offered, along with ongoing training and supervision while working alongside clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians within the team.

The intern will engage in clinical audits, medication reviews, patient assessments, contribute to medicines optimisation, and provide support for prescribing queries among other responsibilities.
