What is the role of the IT Equipment Officer - Digital Operations?
The IT Equipment Officer is responsible for assisting the Infrastructure Operations Manager in the efficient and accurate recording of IT equipment, ensuring secure storage and disposal of computer systems, servers, and media.
What qualifications are required for this position?
The post holder must hold a SVQ3 certificate or have equivalent experience in an IT-related subject or inventory support role within an IT department.
Is experience in a health service environment preferred?
Yes, experience in a health service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
What technical knowledge is required for this role?
The role requires basic knowledge of Windows Operating systems, Microsoft Office, familiarity with IT asset management systems, an understanding of Data Protection and IT security legislation related to NHS Scotland, and hands-on knowledge of PC building/dismantling.
What are the working hours for the IT Equipment Officer position?
The working hours are full-time, Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM or 4:30 PM.
