  • Participation in HIV and Sexual health MDTs and involvement in post graduate and undergraduate training and education within the department.
  • The service as a whole sees around 35 000 patients per year, at main Hub clinics at the City Hospital and Victoria Health Centre with 20+ community sites throughout the city and southern boroughs.
  • The HIV service numbers around 1200 patients and is provided at City Hospital.
  • ISHS provides all levels of contraceptive and STI care, including complex implant removal and coil removals, level 3 STI care and a variety of health promotion work.
  • There are specialist clinics in genital dermatology, recurrent infection, complex contraception and complex PrEP.
  • There is a co-located HIV service and a psychosexual medicine service.
  • The service has an active research profile and currently runs a weekly research clinic in addition to recruiting to a number of national and international trials.
