  • Ability to work across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, extracting information and identifying linkages across disparate data sets

  • Previous exposure to Insurance or Financial Services would be advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and deploy data systems, pipelines, and applications and maintain current data pipelines.
  • Build a detailed knowledge of AXA data sources, both internal and external.
  • Ingest data from a variety of data sources from relational databases to unstructured data such as text documents.
  • Operate in fast-paced, iterative environment while remaining compliant with Information Security policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to prepare data for use in their advanced analytical models.
  • Help transform the existing platform and pipelines to enable us to run faster and with more quality, implementing activities such as more advanced orchestration (DAGs), data quality checks, catalogues, MLOps.
  • Design re-usable code and data assets to enable team activity using Software Engineering best practices and code frameworks.
  • Ensure Data Governance practices are followed regarding the data assets created.
  • Build market leading data engineering solutions and building our cloud-based data asset to enable commercial decision making based on rich, robust data.

The competitive annual salary for this position is up to £30,000 dependent on experience.
