Responsibilities

  • The post holder will provide diagnostic services across Cardiff and Vale.
  • At University Hospital Llandough, this will be by utilising the automated analysers with results produced being authorised by Biomedical Scientist staff at University Hospital of Wales who would provide remote supervision.
  • There will be a shift system in place to provide support during day shifts and for an overnight service at both UHW and UHL.
  • The shift times will be both 07:30 to 20:00 and 19:30 to 08:00 as a roster.
  • Rotation will also see shifts at Velindre Hospital to facilitate a 07:30 to 20:00 service.
  • As the service is constantly evolving and reacting to demands, shifts requirements may adapt accordingly.
