Responsibilities

  • Partners with senior management to assess short-term and long-term training needs for business/functional units and their employees
  • Engages internal learning customers in conversations to identify their needs for new/additional programs, courses, or services
  • Establishes a rapport as a trusted business advisor who can collaborate and coordinate across business lines, career communities, and TM&D to implement shared solutions
  • Conducts in-depth needs analysis using instructional design methodology to identify appropriate learning modality (e-learn, virtual, face-to-face, micro-learning, etc.) (ADDIE model)
  • Identifies content to create learning solutions and determines approach to source content (buy vs. build) to enhance vendor delivered curricula
  • Designs supplemental resources to enhance curated content, such as job aids or discussion guides
  • Leverages knowledge of learning technology in design of learning solutions
  • Has experience working with learning technologies such as LMS (ex. SAP), design (ex. Vyond, Storyline), and collaboration tools (ex. Poll Anywhere, Survey Monkey, Miro, Mural). Seeks opportunities to improve learner experience by leveraging new tools / technology within solutions
  • Facilitates virtual and in-person training
  • Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of training
  • Recommends appropriate research methods to assess the effectiveness of training (Kirkpatrick’s’ s Evaluation levels)
  • Utilizes analytics to communicate appropriate and consistent metrics to business stakeholders and vendors including recommending next steps
  • Anticipates solution needs, maps skills to solutions
  • Researches and recommends services provided by external consultants or organizations, participates in negotiations and/or administering contract/service agreements, secures appropriate approval
  • Participates in assessing the effectiveness and/or partnerships with vendors
  • Leads learning projects, including identification of tasks, timelines, and deliverables
  • May lead the work of others (mentors, prioritizes, delegates, and reviews assignments)
  • Serves as point-of-contact for their portfolios and associated curricula; enables collaboration with HR, MSP, vendors, university partners and the Business
  • Manages portfolio budget; leverages MSP to develop solutions; identifies and manages external vendors to develop and/or deliver solutions
  • Identifies vendors with appropriate instructional design standards and intellectual property required to meet the business needs; manages contracts / relationships to achieve desired objectives
  • Serves as primary CLO contact in job family networks; formulates solution(s) plan outputs from skills health assessments and evolving business needs, develops solutions aligned with business strategies and/or Career Community objectives
  • Aligns work tasks to CLO tools and process to manage solution lifecycle including enhancements, updates or retirements; includes use of Global Learning and Development (GLAD) process
