Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of HR professionals to provide employee relations and HR generalist support to local management to include appropriate counseling, guidance, and employment termination when necessary.
  • Responsible for first level of escalation for higher complex issues from the local site management and HR staff handling employee relations issues, including benefits issues, compensation issues, organizational development or general employment concerns.
  • Conduct investigative interviews when employee complaints arise (e.g., sexual harassment or discrimination). Evaluate information gathered and determine the best course of action from a business, ethical and legal compliance standpoint. Follow through with the most appropriate action and follow up with original complainant.
  • Coordinate temporary staffing needs and maintains relationship with appropriate recruiting agencies.
  • Manage the recruitment process and costs for all open headcount positions at the local site.
  • Generate Hire Requisitions as needed.
  • Utilize behavioral interviewing skills to screen potential candidates.
  • Advise hiring panel on final job offer decision and work with Recruiting Team on offer and package.
  • Maintain government reporting to include but not limited to Affirmative Action Compliance.
  • Conduct exit interviews and investigates key issues or concerns.
