Requirements

  • We are seeking a candidate who meets the following two pre-requisite requirements:
  • 2-5 years’ experience in climate risk assessment (physical or transition), scenario analysis and TCFD.
  • Project management and client management experience, including workshop facilitation and highly developed presentation skills.
  • Preferred requirements are:
  • Experience in carbon markets and previous consulting experience in ESG will be highly regarded.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to distil information into compelling client-focused insights.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with complex information and extract the most valuable insights.
  • Well-developed understanding of the drivers of business’ response to climate change – local and global policy settings, the expectations of the investment community, the requirements of regulators, the rise of climate litigation, technological innovation, social licence and the concerns of communities, employees, and customers.

Responsibilities

  • You will manage client relationships.
  • As a project manager you are a trusted advisor responsible for delivering client work, co-ordinating project team members, and managing the project budget.
  • Climate risk and resilience strategy development: Risk and vulnerability assessments including modelling asset-specific and supply chain risks using proprietary models, scenario analysis, and financial quantification - informing the development of strategies for resilience.
  • Climate disclosures and transition planning: Mandatory disclosure support, including gap analysis and compliance roadmaps, target setting (eg SBTi) and transition strategy development.
  • Whether scenario development, stakeholder consultation or opportunity modelling, we prioritise credibility in our analytical approaches, ensuring strategies are based on robust, transparent and auditable data.
  • Navigating carbon markets: Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) price forecasting, offset strategy development, project due diligence, market engagement and transaction support, leveraging ERM Energetics' Australian Financial Services License (AFSL).
  • Undertaking due diligence: Assessing potential physical and transition risks for investors and corporates on major investment decisions, including acquisitions of new businesses and investment in major infrastructure.
