Responsibilities

  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure adherence to company policies, union contract provisions (if applicable), and government regulations and laws concerning human resource matters.
  • Policy Administration: Administer policies and procedures, including compliance and code of conduct training/verification. Assist employees and answer questions as needed.
  • Supervisor Support: Provide assistance to supervisors and managers regarding employee issues, disciplinary actions, and policy administration.
  • Talent Acquisition & Retention: Oversee the entire recruiting process, including generating candidates, resume evaluation and screening, interviewing, background checks, and making job offers. Develop, analyze, and implement practices and procedures to attract and retain employees. Participate in job/career fairs and other recruiting activities.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Conduct wage, salary, and benefit surveys to ensure competitiveness in the area.
  • Employee Onboarding: Conduct new employee orientation.
  • Training and Development: Maintain the employee training matrix.
  • HR Systems Management: Utilize HR systems to manage employee data and records, payroll, attendance tracking, performance management, transfers, and promotions.
  • Disciplinary Actions: Administer disciplinary actions in accordance with rules and regulations.
  • Employee Engagement: Coordinate and facilitate employee events such as open enrollment, hearing tests, wellness week, and celebratory and awards events.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports and correspondence as needed.
  • Employee Handbook Maintenance: Maintain and update the employee handbook as needed.
