Responsibilities

  • The Marketing Cloud Administrator role is primarily responsible for setting up, managing, and optimizing Salesforce marketing cloud environment.
  • You will partner with Salesforce and DAR marketing teams to design solution that ensures maximum utilization of marketing cloud platform and achieves engagement goals, including the design and implementation of complex Marketing Cloud automation workflows.
  • Collaborate with the Salesforce implementation team to ensure effective development of Marketing Cloud platform for DAR.
  • Configure, manage, and support Marketing Cloud environment including but not limited to journeys, data extensions, users, user roles, connectors, and integrations.
  • Help prepare dataset for email marketing and maintain synchronized data from Salesforce CRM to Marketing Cloud and from other technology platforms.
  • Keep up to date with Marketing Cloud releases, proactively research and make recommendations to optimize marketing activities through new features.
  • Provide technical guidance and training for building sophisticated email campaigns and customer journey.
  • Develop test and measurement strategy with marketing team to track success of marketing campaigns.
  • Support and maintain Preference Center and rules within Marketing Cloud to give DAR users better management with college communications messages and engagement.
  • Ensure a nuanced ability for external constituents to opt out of some college communications while not opting out of all, including university compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other privacy regulations.
  • Assist in planning and releasing segmented communications channels and flow for alumni engagement lifecycle.
  • Prepare profiles of key targets that provide broad overview listing attributes of Boston University alums.
