Requirements

  • Mechanical Design Engineer, with experience using AutoCAD and Solidworks
  • Experience with manufacturing design (ideally from water treatment, F&B or similar, or with experience designing valves, pumps or similar)

Responsibilities

  • - Liaising closely with clients to understand bespoke requirements
  • - Creating detailed manufacturing drawings, P&ID's as well as pipework and steelwork fabrication drawings
  • - Preparing BOM's
  • - Working closely with internal teams to deliver leading-edge, specialist designs
  • - Utilising AutoCAD and Solidworks
  • - Producing P&ID's, layouts and general arrangement drawings
  • - Developing a 3D library for standard plant items
  • - Creating detailed manufacturing drawings to assist fabrication
  • - Producing piping and steelwork fabrication drawings in the form of isometrics, general arrangements
  • - Preparing and checking bill of materials
  • - Providing technical input during detailed engineering of projects
