Responsibilities

  • - The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs tests on blood and body fluids to determine the presence or absence of disease, monitor response to treatment and aid in health maintenance
  • - Serves as a technical resource for lesser credentialed staff and assist in training new or lesser credentialed staff
  • - Responsible to troubleshoot and address instrument issues and recognize need for service
  • - Responsible to use critical thinking and clinical knowledge to assess questionable results and correlate with clinical information to determine accuracy.
