What is the primary purpose of the Manager Treasury position?
The primary purpose is to monitor and regulate the company’s currency exposure from trading operations, manage the subsidiary's cash flow to maximize profit, and ensure compliance with financial obligations to suppliers and vendors.
What qualifications are required for this role?
A Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in finance is required. Experience in treasury is preferred.
What systems and processes might I be improving in this role?
You will be developing/improving systems, processes, and policies in the Financial Accounting process to proactively support our mission and vision.
Who will I be reporting to in this position?
You will directly report to the Senior Manager Finance and have a secondary reporting line to the manager of the North American (NA) subsidiary.
What are the key responsibilities associated with this role?
Key responsibilities include strengthening bank relationships, monitoring bank account activities, managing insurance issues, ensuring timely payments and receipts, and supporting the preparation of statutory financial statements, among others.
What financial reporting standards should I be familiar with?
You should obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structures both in India Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (IGAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Will I be supervising other personnel in this role?
Yes, you will supervise the general ledger group and manage the allocation of jobs to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
