Responsibilities

  • - To facilitate Band 5 Preceptorship Programme in the ward/department/specialty in identifying opportunities for maintaining and improving standards of care.
  • - Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) will lead on and coordinate the Band 5 Midwifery Preceptorship Programme with oversight from the Clinical Education Midwife. The role will involve working in partnership with the other PEFs within the Education Team to ensure all PEF roles and responsibilities are supported.
  • - To support and facilitate innovation in care provision in a structured and systematic way.
  • - To offer professional guidance and support to Band 5 Preceptorship Midwives in clinical practice.
  • - To develop education guidelines/SOPs and implement developments in practice.
  • - Provide education and training to Midwives and other members of the Multidisciplinary team.
  • - To offer professional guidance and support to clinical staff.
