Requirements

  • - Aircraft component design
  • - Aircraft systems design

  • - Understanding of MAA Regulatory Publications

Responsibilities

  • To review and authorise the design and associated technical drawings of the modification.
  • To review and approve the compliance arguments in the compliance documentation.
  • To supervise and mentor designers.
  • Present the technical elements of the design at Design Reviews and other key meetings.
  • Act as a design SME in Safety Review Meetings and Hazard Identification events at agreed points throughout the Modification project.
  • Lead configuration control of all design drawings to the point of delivery to the customer.
  • Approve and sign modification documentation including the Certificate of Design.
