What are the primary responsibilities of a Network Engineer in this role?
The primary responsibilities include administration and management of the Wipro LAN & WAN, implementation and configuration of network devices, troubleshooting network and security problems, and establishing network infrastructure for new projects and offshore development centers.
What types of network devices will I be working with?
You will primarily work with routers, switches, NMS tools, and Wi-Fi devices from various manufacturers, predominantly Cisco, as well as some cases involving Avaya and Brocade.
What experience is necessary for this position?
The position requires approximately 5 years of experience and CCNP equivalent certifications.
Will I be involved in project management?
Yes, you will be involved in multitasking on multiple projects and may take the lead in resolving outages and participating in S0 calls.
What technical knowledge is expected for this role?
Candidates should have knowledge and exposure to routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, MPLS configuration, switching protocols, NMS tools, and understand incident, change, and capacity management procedures.
