Responsibilities

  • New Business Development
  • In collaboration with the global marketing and global new business Development team, assess and analyze regional market needs, risks and development trends for the pharma industry. This includes analysis of relevant drug development pipeline, regional regulatory trends and competitive activity.
  • Identify and develop new target accounts for Nouryon ingredients in these regulated markets, focusing on high-potential accounts.
  • Develop an opportunity pipeline that meets regional growth objectives by engaging key stakeholders in the pharma industry. Actively nurture and support progress. Communicate and coordinate execution for global opportunities.
  • Ability to convey technical/scientific data to all audiences
  • Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by periodical and ad hoc reports and/or analyses.
  • Represent Nouryon at key industry events and trade associations and identify and engage with key stakeholders
  • Key Account Management
  • Identify customers Global strategy for the markets /applications we play in. Fully understand the key account’s current and future needs and act upon the customer’s strategy and tactics.
  • Develop Nouryon’ s strategy with SMART targets / define if strategy is global or different by region
  • Define opportunities for new business as part of detailed account planning and sales forecasting.
  • Create a strong network within the BU and Nouryon with regards to the key account(s) and other regional accounts to handle.
  • Develop strong relationships with key players at the customer and create multi-level connections with the customer organization.
  • Coordinate internal subject matter expertise (Technical Service, Product Development, R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, Supply Chain) to support key customer activities and new business development plans.
  • Propose and implement a pricing strategy to optimize revenue/profitability across regions- Prepare / coordinate RFQ’s.
  • Serve as the customer ambassador, trusted advisor and advocate for the Nouryon organization.
  • Identify risks and mitigation plans.
  • Manage global contracts, confidentiality, and joint development agreements. Serve as a lead contracts negotiator on commercial terms.
  • Keep management informed of all key activities at the key account through effective internal communication- ensure regional teams are included in communications around key developments.
  • Achieve annual sales results and business growth versus an annual plan from the established customer base and identified new accounts.
