Responsibilities

  • NPI (new product introduction) project lead is responsible for introduction of the new Electron-optical products into the serial production
  • Coordinates activities between different stakeholders: Research & Development, Configuration Management, Planning, Purchasing, Quality & Engineering
  • Creates project schedules/plans for NPI phase (transfer from R&D to Operations
  • Ensures project timelines are kept and the product gets introduced with the according OMS documentation, jigs, tools, spare-parts, coordinates trainings intern & extern (suppliers)
  • Supports R&D during prototype phase, ensure close cooperation and information is transferred into operations, participates in R&D design reviews
  • PLC management & monitoring of product manufacturing readiness
  • Close cooperation with customer (PDC), elaborates the status reports, participates on Gate submissions
  • Maps Bill of material (BOM), maintains change requests and executes change control processes including Non-Standard Requests (NSRs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Drives cost, quality, and cycle time goals
